Avery is 9 weeks old!! Isn't it hard to believe!! We went to her check up this past Tuesday and she weighed 12 1/2 lbs and was 22 inches long!! She is growing like a weed and developing just as quickly! She can hold her head very well, can sit assisted, and can bear most of her body weight on her chunky legs!! The doctor actually asked how many times a day she is eating and of course I haven't kept count since we left the hospital.... he said, well.... you might want to take a day and count just to make sure she isn't eating to much. (she in in the 95 percentile for weight :))
Avery is growing into such a beautiful little girl, it seems in the past few weeks what has grown the most is her eyelashes!! I have been so thankful for this. Beau has the most beautiful eyelashes you have ever seen and I was hoping Avery had that same gene, especially being a girl!! Her eyes are still a very vibrant blue and seem like they will stay that way. Her hair is still mostly dark although seems to be lightening at the roots.... the jury is still out on that one.
Beau is doing very well adjusting to his roll as a big brother. He loves his little sister very much and is wonderful about giving her sweet kisses. He is still been attending school twice a week which has been good for him. He is almost 2 1/2 now and defiantly testing his boundaries.
Thankfully we are all settling in to our lives as a family of four as I gear up to go back to work. I will go back on October 5th and I am looking forward to it. Although this time with my babies has been amazing I am ready to challenge my brain again!! Having two kids at home is a totally different ball game from having just one, I have a new respect for stay at home moms!! Of course, we sold my car before Avery was born and haven't bought one yet, so I have been home with no relief for days on end. My only outings are to church on Sunday and sometimes to the grocery once a week or so. This experience as defiantly grown my patients and my character. I am a better mom because of it!! This time can never be relived and I am so thankful for my blessings.
